Sea World

We had a great time going to Sea World for Nelson's birthday last month. Greg, Alli and I surprised Nelson on his birthday, April 20th, by signing him out of school early in the day. We headed off for San Antonio in "the movie car" (Grandma and Grandpa Harward's SUV.) It was a beautiful spring day, a little overcast and cool. There were not many people in the park at all. We didn't have to wait in any lines. It was wonderful. The kids loved all the rides. Nelson could go on all of them but one. Alli could ride all the one's in Shamu's Play Land. It was so much fun riding with her. As soon as the ride would take off she started screaming. What a hoot!! Nelson went on the Steel Eel TWICE!! Greg and I each went once with him. It looked like he was scared to death, but once off he insisted it was the most fun ever. We sat in row 10 of the Shamu splash zone at the Shamu show. We really didn't know what we were in for. The picture with Shawna and the two kids was taken mere moments before Shamu literally splashed buckets of water on us. I can't believe that one tail can move that much water. Alli didn't appreciate it AT ALL. We all looked like drowned rats when the show was over. We dried pretty quickly though and kept on moving. We had a great time. It was fun to be together and see so many fun things. We were able to get season passes and look forward to going back again soon.
